Echocardiographic images of a perimembranous VSD with aneurysm formation. The parasternal long axis projection demonstrates the defect which has been partially closed by aneurysm formation (scenes 1 and 2). On the short-axis imaging, the relationship between the aneurysm and the tricuspid and aortic valves is demonstrated (scene 3). Apical imaging (scene 4) demonstrates the residual defect through the aneurysm.
