Video 27.1 - Pulmonary vein stenosis (PVS) – cineangiogram

Pulmonary vein stenosis (PVS) – cineangiogram. Right pulmonary artery (RPA) wedge angiogram in severe PVS. A balloon catheter in the right pulmonary artery is used to inject contrast into the RPA. There is dense opacification of the downstream pulmonary segments. As the balloon is deflated, opacified blood flow proceeds into a small pulmonary vein and into the left atrium, demonstrating severe stenosis at the venoatrial junction, and persistence of opacified blood in the affected pulmonary segment due to subnormal flow.
